What is MagSafe and how does it works?

It seemed like a simple thing to test a piece of metal. But strangely enough, sticking the ring on the phone gave me the most work. In my experience, it takes a really well degreased surface for the ring to stick and adhere well. Then everything is ok and charging works exactly the same as with any other MagSafe compatible device.
