USB Adapters
USB charging adapters are a very universal power source for most mobile phones, tablets, laptops, as well as smart watches, players, navigation devices and other small electronics.
They usually have one or more USB-A connectors on the output, into which you can plug any cable depending on the type of charging connector on your device. Most modern phones from a variety of brands ranging from Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Motorola, Nokia to Apple will use a USB-A/USB-C cable to charge from the USB adapter. A USB-A/Lightning cable is especially suitable for Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod, Apple AirPods or Apple Watch, and older phones can be connected to the charging adapter with USB-A/micro USB cables.
When choosing the right USB charging adapter for your device, focus on its performance and match it to the power requirements of your device.
- For example, just 5W (or 1A current) is enough for wireless headphones and smartwatches.
- For smartphones you will need at least 10W, for newer ones up to 40W.
- For charging a tablet, you need at least 25W.
- Powerful laptops and MacBooks will need an adapter with at least 45W for charging. In the case of a really powerful gaming laptop, however, you can easily get up to twice that.
